7 beautiful Vista themes – 2nd Part

6 September 2008 No Comment

Here we go again! This is the 2nd part of the series “7 beautiful Vista themes”. If you have missed the 1st part you can find it here.

This time I was looking for extraordinary themes that are inspired by other operating systems and GUI’s or have a very minimalistic touch&feel.

The first one is a very dark minimalistic desktop theme. It’s not very shiny or transparent, but combines some very contrastful colours black and blue. Simple and yet so beautiful!

Download Vista Themes: Axis

The 2nd one goes well together with the first one. The author, austin, did a good job on this as well.

Download Vista Themes: SWGlass

SWGlass is another proof that minimalistic themes can still be very attractive. What I appreciate is that the author did not create something that is very common, but something unique.

Download Vista Themes: Diamond

Another vista desktop theme that caught my attention is based on an old XP theme, it’s the Vista theme “Diamond” created by miretank.

Download Vista Themes: VUbuntu

The following two themes were created recently, inspired by the Linux distribution “Ubuntu”.
According to wikipedia Ubuntu is the most popular linux distribution, so if you should call this OS familiar or if you just like the look of it, then go for one of following two themes:

Download Vista Theme: Clearlooks

Download Vista Themes: Vista OS X

Don’t like Ubuntu? Try out the complete Vista-Mac solution “OS X”. Your desktop will no longer look like Windows Vista! Many had problems uninstalling it, but since they included an uninstaller as well by now I can absolutely recommend to try this out.
