More than 20 technology companies have been attacked by Chinese hackers who were abusing this vulnerability. Source code was stolen from some companies. Google and Adobe were a major target of “Operation Aurora”.
Microsoft is currently working on a patch and will release it as soon as possible. In the meantime it is suggested that you don’t run IE6-8 with UAC disabled!

According to MedIndia.net there are currently more than 1.1 billion smokers in the world and the number could increase to 1.6 billion by 2025.

It might be a bit late for printing posters, but if you want to support this global event, then put one of the following wallpapers on the desktop of a smoker.

He/She will be surprised and think about quitting (again). Personally, I think you can’t convince people to quit, they have to make that decision themselves. It still might be a good idea to do that to kick-start a discussion.

On the other hand Microsoft is giving away a copy of Windows 7 RC1 that will run for 13 months (yep, more than a year!). If you need a download link you can either wait 2 days or get the link here.

Microsoft earned $13.65 billion this quarter, which is an overall decline of 6% compared with last year.

Considering that Microsoft will roll out Windows 7 and new Office products it might be a good time to invest into Microsoft stocks
