Well, at the moment there is quite a hype about the Kindle 2.0.
The Kindle is an eBook Reader that allows you to read eBooks on a mobile device with a large screen and very sharp text. The text on the display is as sharp as a newspaper: Eink Technology (electronic ink) is a big advantage and will even allow you to read in the sunlight.
Because everything on this blog is about Vista, I thought I would try to find out which eBook Reader does fully support Vista and which not.
First of all I suggest to get an overview of all good readers here:

Obviously there’s quite a hype about Windows 7. The beta was quite a success – a lot of people participated including myself. I am running Windows 7 on this PC right now while I am writing this. However Microsoft can still mess it all up (including Windows 7 vs. Vista benchmarks inside).

Also excited to get your hands on the final Windows 7? Due to the recent release of Windows 7 beta 1, I continued my Windows 7 coverage at http://windows7themes.net
- Windows 7 Beta first impression
- Download Windows 7 Hotfix to protect your MP3′s
- Vista themes not compatible with Windows 7
- Installing Windows 7 on VirtualPC (recommended)
- Windows 7 Wallpaper
- Windows 7 Videos
Windows 7 is expected to come out late 2009 / early 2010. You still have 10 days to download the beta and get a free beta key from Microsoft. While I highly recommend to try this, I suggest to install it on Microsoft’s Virtual PC.

Thanks for your interest in the Windows 7 Beta. The volume has been phenomenal—we’re in the process of adding more servers to handle the demand. We’re sorry for the delay and we’ll re-post the Beta as soon as we can ensure a quality download experience.
Due to a massive amount of traffic Microsoft wasn’t able to keep up the Windows 7 beta download.

Good news for Vista-users! DX11 is probably NOT going to be Windows7-only (Source). Luckily, we will be able to upgrade from Vista to Windows7 flawlessly (unlike all the XP users), but it is still nice to know that we don’t have to upgrade if we don’t want to. DX11 promotion is quite impressive as usual, but see for yourself. This is especially a hot topic for gamers and and 3D-Guru’s!

Well after struggling finding a name for the vista successor Microsoft decided to simply call it “Windows 7″. The codename becomes the actual name.
After all it’s a pretty reasonable choice, because for the enduser it is way easier to distinguish between the different Windows versions if the name is a plain number. Will Windows 7.0 be better than Windows 6.0 also knows as Vista ?
7 is a magical number, but actually it’s Windows 6.1 since Windows 7 will be more like Vista SE. Windows 7 will be completely backwards-compatible to Vista, there aren’t enough significant changes to justify a new kernel version 7.0.
Did you know that there is already a Windows 7 theme available for download? Yes, I was surprised as well, you can find more information at http://windows7themes.net

Well actually it’s only a mini-game and a Vista Ultimate Extra, but it rocks! Best of all, you can create your own levels.

Windows 7 will support touch-screen panning, which means that you can move objects on a desktop with your own fingers on a touchscreen-enabled device. Touchscreens have been around for probably 30 years or longer, but it is still very impressive to see it.
