Vista Tweaks: Disable auto-start of specific applications
Add to my favourites!
Well a lot of you probably know this, but I wanted to show some of the less advanced users of Vista how to disable auto-start of some applications.
Ok here we go:
First click on “Start”, then type in “cmd” into the search. Double-click on the cmd.exe (if it does not, add the Windows folder to the folders that are indexed as described previously). Now another window will come up, simply type in “msconfig” to open some of the advanced system setting such as auto-start.
Now go to the tab “system start-up” and uncheck the application you do not want to auto start. This can increase your loading speed dramatically and also your system performance if you installed a lot of different applications.
